On February 24, 2020 Harvey Weinstein was found guilty of felony sex crime and rape. Eyes have now turned back to his victims. On January 23rd, 2020 actress Annabella Sciorra was called to give evidence against Weinstein to support the charge of predatory sexual assault. Though pronounced guilty on two counts, he was not found guilty on the predatory sexual assault charge and now Sciorra is trending.
After five days of lengthy deliberations, the 67-year-old disgraced movie mogul was charged with multiple offenses, including third-degree rape and committing a first-degree criminal sexual act. The jury in the high-profile trial issued a verdict of guilty for both of these felonies.
During the trial, The Sopranos actress described the event, which she claimed took place in the 1990s, “I was punching him, kicking him to get him away from me, and he took my hands and put them over my head and held them back. He got on top of me and he raped me.”
